Port Isabel Service Processing Center

The Port Isabel Service Processing Center is located in the small town of Los Fresnos, Tx. The facility houses 1,200 detainees who have been apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents or are waiting on decisions for their asylum requests. The immigration detention center is north of Brownsville and it processes thousands of people a year.

The chances of a person arriving at the Port Isabel Service Processing Center and later being deported are relatively high. Most of the people who go through the immigration process go through it without a lawyer and don’t fully understand their rights or what are their legal options.
