Jose Carrera is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Texas attorney dedicated to representing individuals in personal injury matters. Raised between New York, Miami, and Ecuador, Jose brings a global perspective and a strong ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds while guiding them through challenging legal circumstances.
Jose earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in International Relations from Florida International University, where he was also an active member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center. During his first year, Jose participated in the Mediation Clinic and served as the clinic’s Teaching Assistant, strengthening his skills in negotiation, dispute resolution, and client advocacy.
Jose began his career with The Gonzalez Law Group as a summer associate during law school and continued working with the firm as a law clerk through graduation. After being admitted to the Texas State Bar in October 2024, he returned to the firm as an Associate Attorney, where he plays an integral role in advancing cases through all stages of the legal process.
At The Gonzalez Law Group, Jose works closely with clients to provide trusted guidance, develop strategic approaches tailored to each case, and pursue favorable resolutions with honesty, clarity, and integrity.
Outside of his practice, Jose enjoys staying active, working out, spending time with his dog, and reading.
