Stacey L. Morgan

Stacey Leaness Morgan is a bilingual trial attorney in criminal defense. She speaks English and Spanish fluently. She obtained her B.A. degrees in Philosophy and Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. She then pursued her law degree at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas, a law school that takes pride in its diversity and passion to help others. Ms. Morgan graduated with honors and was President of the Death Penalty Awareness Society (2017-2019) and part of the Planning Committee for the annual Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty Conference for two years in a row. Two organizations formed to educate the community about the racial and economic injustices in the criminal justice system.

Ms. Morgan is from Hidalgo, Texas, and grew up between the U.S. and Mexico, which led her to learn more about Immigration Law. During law school, she interned with an immigration law firm and was Secretary of the Institution of International and Immigration Law organization in law school. She uses her experience in immigration when working her criminal cases to consider the harsh immigration consequences that could impact her clients after the criminal case is resolved.

Ms. Morgan shares the mantra of the Gonzalez Law Group with her passion to help others. As a criminal defense attorney, Ms. Morgan dedicates her work to protect her client’s rights during the criminal court process and fights for the best outcome.
