Solomon Holness

Solomon Holness is a trial attorney at the Gonzalez Law Group with a focus on Estate Planning & Probate.

A native Houstonian from the Greater Third Ward area, Solomon attended The University of Oklahoma earning his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After a few years as an engineer in the power generation industry, Solomon’s desire to work with people and advocate for the underrepresented demographic would be the driving force to continue his education in the legal field.

Solomon would go on to attend Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where he graduated Cum Laude. During Law School, Mr. Holness was a Senior Editor on Law Review, President of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and Regional Treasurer for the National Black Law Student Association.

With a passion for servicing the community, coupled with the events of Hurricane Harvey, Solomon would go on to work in the Disaster Relief & Military Veteran Units at Lonestar Legal Aid. During his tenure at LSLA he was exposed to a variety of different areas in law, such as landlord tenant, family, public benefits, housing, consumer, estate planning & probate. After developing a passion and love for estate planning and probate, Mr. Holness joined the Gonzalez Law Group in February of 2022 to further hone his skills and expertise in that area. Solomon aims to fervently provide high end representation to his clients as well as educate them on the importance of estate planning.

In his spare time, Solomon enjoys live music, sports (Boxing, OU & Raiders football) and reading.
