Natalia Mieles is a Family Law Attorney at The Gonzalez Law Group, PLLC, recognized for her compassionate advocacy, keen attention to detail, and ability to identify and address the needs of families and courts. She believes every family deserves an advocate who sees them as more than a case file, and she approaches each case with clarity, patience, and warmth during life’s most difficult moments.
Before her legal career, Natalia worked for several years at a mental health practice, supporting both patients and physicians. She learned to meet people with empathy during vulnerable times, an approach that continues to define her work and drew her to family law.
Natalia earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she received the Dean’s Citizenship Award and served as a teaching assistant, helping fellow students strengthen their legal reasoning and study skills. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Houston.
Her professional experience includes practicing at two Houston-area firms handling personal injury, mass tort, ad litem appointments, and small business matters. Most notably, she built a Guardian Ad Litem practice from the ground up, earning appointments from judges across Harris and Fort Bend Counties and managing cases from appointment through prove-up. She has completed the State of Texas training for ad litem appointments, is certified by the State Bar of Texas for guardianship appointments, and has completed the 40-hour mediator training.
Fluent in Spanish, Natalia is committed to serving Houston’s diverse communities and ensuring that language is never a barrier to justice. Her combined experience, training, and dedication to protecting children and families make her a strong and principled advocate for those navigating some of life’s most personal legal matters.
