Imelda Mendez is a bilingual trial attorney at the Gonzalez Law Group. Her practice primarily focuses on representing individuals in matters of criminal defense. Ms. Mendez is a native Houstonian. Having grown up in Houston, she is honored to represent her community.

Ms. Mendez earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science at the University of Houston. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate at Southern Methodist University – Dedman School of Law, graduating Cum Laude. During law school, Ms. Mendez served as a Case Note and Comment Editor for SMU International Law Review. She also participated in the SMU Criminal Justice Clinic, where she represented indigent individuals facing misdemeanor and felony criminal consequences in Dallas County.

In her free time, Ms. Mendez enjoys reading, retail therapy, and spending time with friends and family.
