Andrea Sumpter

Andrea has practiced Immigration Law throughout the United States for more than 13 years. She has a wide and expansive experience in and knowledge of Immigration Law and has represented clients before USCIS and Immigration Courts in Chicago, Detroit, Denver, Atlanta, Cleveland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Houston. She also has extensive experience representing clients in immigration appeals before the BIA. Her experience includes removal defense, affirmative applications and petitions, defensive and affirmative asylum, business, and other non-immigrant visas.

A Detroit native, Andrea has lived and worked throughout the United States. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Wayne State University, and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Wisconsin School of Law. She also formerly served as an adjunct Professor of Sociology.

Andrea is an avid volunteer, and regularly volunteers with Meals on Wheels and activities that benefit youth and homeless persons. When not working or volunteering, she is either spending time with her family or riding her Hayabusa.  Andrea is married with two young boys. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Houston Mocha Moms.
